In this episode of the Mommy Daddy Time Podcast, we talk about how close we came to losing our license as a foster care family.
Our journey was marked with God's favor, but that doesn't mean it was easy by any means. Today, we're bringing you to one of the lowest and hardest moments in our journey when it looked like everything was about to fall apart.
We've never had anything so crushing happen and yet feel so called to continue on. This is one of the rawest and revealing episodes about our journey through foster care and the story of how God brought us to where we are today!
We hope you enjoy the show!

Imagine how it would feel to marry the person you're best friends with, admire completely and love dearly. Then, after a few years in marriage, things get complicated. You find yourself deeply in love but also arguing and fighting all the time. For some reason, your ability to connect, relate, and communicate with one another becomes harder and harder.
This is the situation our guests Abi & Justin Stumvoll found themselves in. A few years into marriage they were in the thick of it. While they knew they loved one another deeply they also knew they didn't want a marriage that was filled with nothing but arguments and fights. Instead of giving up or giving in, Abi and Justin took action. They began to do something most couples never think of until it's already too late.
Fast forward a few years and they've taken what they've learned over the course of their marriage and are giving it to other couples in hopes that they can live a more connected life. With their podcasts, books, online courses, and small group training Abi and Justin are helping couples reach greater levels of honesty, authenticity, connection, and intimacy.
Whether you're new in your marriage journey, been going for a while, or are in the thick of the tuff stuff right now this episode will have you laughing a bit and nodding along at all the pure freaking golden nuggets of wisdom.
We understand how hard marriage can be sometimes. Its why we wanted to sit down with Justin and Abi to hear more about their story, insights, and experiences. They bring a vibrant and fresh perspective to marriage, relationships and how understanding your past can help unlock incredible hope for your future.
You shouldn't have to keep struggling in marriage without the help, guidance, and support you need. Listen to this episode and feel refreshed and equipped for whatever life sends your way next.
Abi & Justin have quickly become great friends and we are so blessed to have them on the show! This is an instant classic you're sure to love, come back to and share with all your friends!

Welcome back to another episode of the Mommy Daddy Time Podcast!
In this episode, Eric & Kristy answer one of your questions about dating and marriage and it's a great one!
"Do you think it's ok for a believer to date or marry a non-believer?"
It's a BIG question and one that has circled around the church world for a long time. So, what does the Bible actually say about dating or marrying non-believers? Is it a good idea or a bad idea? Can it work out or is it doomed from the start?
We answer these questions and more in this thought-provoking and powerful episode of the Mommy Daddy Time Podcast.
If you're dating, thinking about dating or maybe even have found yourself married to someone with a different set of beliefs or values in faith than you this episode is a must-listen.
You'll walk away encouraged. You'll also know what the Bible means when it describes being "equally yoked". You will also have more clarity around how to live out your faith with or without your partner's approval or support.
Listen to episode 48 now and share it with your friends. Plus, let us know what you think Eric should have done with those tickets! Should he have paid for them or is it ok to accept them?
