This week The Monday Night Wav recaps this week of wrestling along with AEW WrestleDream PPV in Tacoma, WA. Monday Night Raw kicks off with CM Punk going on a hiatus but a newly returned Seth Rollins is looking forward to when he returns. On Smackdown Jimmy Uso returns with his eyes set on Solo Sikoa and the new bloodline, but not alone as Roman Reigns gets the WWE Universe to acknowledge his cousins return. WrestleDream was full of storylines being told between The Young Bucks v Private PArty, Jericho v Mark Briscoe, Hangman v Jay White. However none of them would prepare for the aftermath of Jon Moxley v Bryan Danielson and the end of the Final Countdown. The new BCC of Claudio, Pac, Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir makes it known that AEW is not your company anymore.

The Monday Night Wav returns with the Other Co-host DT as they recap AEW 5 Year Episode, CM Punk and Drew Mcintyre's brutal HIAC match, and the rest of WWE's Bad Blood PLE in Atlanta, Georgia. We also talk about AEW's new TV deal and it's content coming to HBO Max and Triple H's I don't see color comments on the Bad Blood Post show.

The Monday Night Wav returns in episode 28 with a great week of professional wrestling content from WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and AEW Dynamite. In our pro wrestling news segment we cover the new details of Rey Fenix of the Lucha Bros having injury time added to his contract and halting the teams move to WWE, as well as covering a possible AEW shift to Fox from seemingly confirmed by Swerve Strickland. On WWE Raw Xavier Woods seems to have been butt of the joke far to long as he picks a fight with Rey Mysterio after his lost to Chad Gable and American Made. Jey Uso also closes out the show in his win against Bron Breakker for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. On AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Bryan Danielson and Nigel Mcguinness put on a great 20 min bout to open the show, as we had no idea Bryan was even cleared to go after being brutally attacked by Jon Moxley at All Out. We also see a meeting of sorts between Swerves Strickland's manager Nana and MVP former manager in WWE to Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Business. This week in Smackdown Randy Orton wants answers from his friend Cody Rhodes as to why he is teaming up with Roman Reigns and Bad Blood to take on Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline.

August 31, 2024, at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany WWE hosts Bash in Berlin a premium live event (PLE) featuring wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.

Cody Rhodes The American Nightmare defends his WWE title against Kevin Owens. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill gets their rematch for the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles against The Unholy reunion Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The battle between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre seems never ending as they look to settle the score in a Strap Match. No love lost as the Terror Twins (Damian Pries and Rhea Ripley) look to get some revenge on Judgement day's Dirty Dominik Mysterio and WWE Womens Champion Liv Morgan. The Main Event came between to men looking to prove who is the better competitor in the ring, Randy Orton continuing to cement his legacy against World Heavyweight Champion The Ring General Gunther.

The Wav recaps AEW's All In PPV in Wembley Stadium. Mariah May Vs Toni Storm was perhaps one of if not the best match at AEW All In. From a well told story to a big pay off in the ring with Mariah May squeezing out the victory in cinematic fashion over Timeless Toni Storm. The Casino Gauntlet match gave the crowd a much needed energy boost with the surprise appereance from Nigel Mcguiness after over a decade of inactivity and the former WWE Superstar Ricochet making his AEW debut. MJF vs Will Ospreay was one for the ages and definitely a classic match in AEW. The night ends with a spectacular main event in Swerve Strickland vs Bryan Danielson. The match was brutal and hard hitting but had emotional moments throughout. But we end the night with the new AEW Champion Bryan Danielson as he begins his Final Countdown in AEW.

In episode 25 of The Monday Night Wav recaps this week (8/12/24 -8/16/24) of wrestling. On Raw Rhea Ripley airs out her DEEP issues with Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan while also setting a trap with the menacing Damian Priest. Things are starting to look like the New Day may not be on the same page as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods seem to have a disconnect on Odyssey Jones involvement in the group.

In AEW Dynamite the CEO Mercedes Mone has a great match with Hikaru Shida which we believe they should revist later, however britt baker is the challenger for All In and she wants that TBS Championship. We also get to look

This week on WWE Smackdown we get a celebration for the Queen of The Ring winner and current Womens World Champion Nia Jax with the help of Pretty Deadly and Tiffany Stratton. Grayson waller also seemed to poke Kevin Owens the wrong way as he looked motivated in his match showing shades of the former Fight Owens Fight moniker in the ring. Solo sikoa close out the show calling for the OTC Roman Reigns to come and take the Ula Fala back. But it seems Solo may have prepared for this meeting better than before.

In episode 24 of The Monday Night Wav recaps this week (8/05/24 -8/09/24) of wrestling. On WWE Raw we find out who will be Gunthers first challenger at Bash in Berlin, the viper Randy Orton says there is unfinished buinsees between him and Gunther. Finn Balors plan of betray has been fulfilled as he creates a new Judgment Day that leaves Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley on the outs. In AEW flight challenges seem to have been an issue but it didn't stop the excitement. MJF opens the show with a hard hitting match versus Kyle Fletcher. Swerve let's out a passionate promo with wrestling hall of Famer Jim Ross. To close out the week on Smackdown Cody offers a title shot to Kevin Owens who thinks he doesn't deserve it until Roman Reigns name gets brought up. LA Knight has his US title ceremony interupted by Santos Escobar. Solo Sikoa calls out Roman for ruining his opportunity at Summerslam and tells him if he wants to be Tribal Chief to come take it. Roman Reigns then goes on an absolute warpath taking out the New Bloodline one by one.

The unpredictable turn of Dirty Dom aka Dominik Mysterio turning on Rhea Ripley. Bron Breakker finally getting his revenge and becoming WWE Intercontential Champion for the first time. LA Knight begins his reign of US Champion. Nia Jax gets her shine as she has an amazing match with Bayley which crowned a new WWE Womens Champion. The stories and mind games continue in Drew Mcintyre vs CM Punk with Seth Rollins as special guest referee. Damian Priest and Gunther absolutely steals the show with a fantastic World Heavyweight Championship match. But things don't look good for the Judgement Day as Finn Balor betrays Priest. To close out the show in a Bloodline Rules match for the WWE Championship Cody Rhodes goes one on one with Solo Sikoa. Even with the help of The Bloodline it wasn't enough. As the OTC Roman Reigns makes his return to WWE since losing to Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 40. Roman looks to have his eyes on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
