Aeroportos de Portugal has inaugurated its stylish new retail and food & beverage complex in the airside zone at Porto Airport. With the opening of the new zone, the area occupied by commercial activities at Porto has grown by 2,500sq m to 6,104sq m. The Moodie Report was on hand for the opening celebration, which included a fashion show in the middle of the terminal that stopped passengers in their tracks.

Aelia UK has unveiled a vibrant new-look retail offer at Belfast International Airport. The centrepiece of the operation is an Aelia Duty Free branded 633sq m tax and duty free store in a prime location in the airport’s reconfigured Departures zone. The move came after the company recently renewed and extended its contract for a further seven years. The Moodie Report was on hand for the grand opening.

London Heathrow Airport’s ‘Best of British’ food & beverage campaign has got off to a flying start, marked by improved consumer awareness of the F&B offer, greater footfall into the outlets, and improved sales. Martin Moodie toured Terminal 5, sampling some 45-year-old malt whisky, exquisite chocolates and outstanding ‘Plane Food’ along the way.

Schiphol Group has unveiled the Holland Boulevard, a high-class Dutch-themed retail, food & beverage, lounge and entertainment zone between piers E and F at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The area features the world’s first library at an airport, a unit celebrating the history of the Bols brand, a revamped museum store, massage, relaxation and kids’ play areas, plus an impressive Dutch Kitchen from HMSHost.
