The Moral Hangover: 2020 Reflections and 2021 Predictions ft. guest Austin Wildcard
In this episode, we reflect back on 2020, while also looking forward to 2021. We first introduce our second DBYA guest, Austin Wildcard (starting at 3:58) and he relates to Atlanta sports fans misery as he shares his experiences as a life-long Jacksonville Jaguars fan (7:44). Tommy Sportz explains his "blueprint to success" for the Jags including having Mel Gibson from Mad Max as the QB with Brad Pitt and the kid from SuperBad as the coaches... while also taking the “Friday Night Lights approach" to football.
In the 2020 reflections (starting at 20:28), we look back on the ATL teams, beginning with the Falcons. Tommy proposes a hypothetical scenario (22:44) in which the crew discuss possible former athletes who could come out of retirement to help save the Falcons 2020 season, in a dash. The Braves (28:08) and the Hawks (29:00) are also discussed.
2021 Predictions begin at 31:51, with Tommy sharing his thoughts on how sportz are a lot like jell-o (32:47). Tommy also has a beef with the NBA and James Hardin (34:28) that he needs to get off his chest.
