The More Disciples Podcast

In part one of this special two-episode series, The More Disciples Podcast Team meets with leaders from the 24:14 coalition, which unites men and women across North America to pursue multiplying movements together. As each region reports on what God is doing in their area, the team talks about themes of unity, obedience, simplicity, community, and hope. It's a great time to hear the stories of God's transformation, press forward in excitement, and celebrate the power and movement of the Spirit in disciple-making movements around the nation.

In this week's episode, The More Disciples Podcast team explores the absolute necessity of prayer with special guest Michael Sove. With practical tips and tools, Michael explains how God has drawn him into boots-on-the-ground discipleship and a prayer movement that is sweeping the nation. As a group, the team will discuss what it looks like to pursue a movement of the Spirit that begins with personal prayer and obedience and then expands into the home, city, and beyond!

In today's episode of The More Disciples Podcast, the team joins Peter and Vitaly, who are multiplying disciples in sensitive nations in Central Asia. Despite governmental persecution and social pressure, Peter and Vitaly are navigating the line between caution and courage as they lean on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In such precarious times, it becomes more important than ever to be and make real disciples of Jesus who are living in faith and obedience.

This week, The More Disciples Podcast team meets with Marlene, who lives and serves with a ministry in South Africa. When she was tasked with helping teams learn tools for multiplication and disciple-making, Marlene found the disciple-making trainings, Zúme, which radically transformed their ministry training and effectiveness globally. With teams ranging from oral-learners in rural Africa to business professionals in technological cities, people in all different situations are finding the tools, resources, encouragement, and coaching to move forward in their faith!

This week on The More Disciples podcast, our hosts are visiting with three men who are using a robust and strategic media strategy to accelerate the process of finding seekers, helping them get access to the Word, and connecting people who want to learn more about the Gospel with local believers — all in unreached nations! The team talks about the need for new methods and the importance of coaching and training Media to Movement teams. Through these methods, and global collaboration, the Gospel is going into the world, and God is raising up His Kingdom!

Guest host Bobby "Tre9" Herring joins The More Disciples Podcast team to explore the complications and joys of inner-city multiplication. In this episode, the team reflects on the lessons God has taught Tre in his journey, from learning to invite new disciples into a covenant of community to laboring and learning together with other multipliers in their contexts. This episode is all about the biblical principal of connection!

For more than 30 years, today's guest Stan Parks has been a movement leader, trainer, and disciple-maker. He joins the hosts of The More Disciples Podcast in exploring what God's people need to do about those in the world who have never heard the Gospel. Stan encourages disciple-makers to pray for stubbornness and to shrug off a love of the good for the sake of God's great.

Today's guest, Chris Galanos, the pastor of Experience Life has seen God multiply disciples in West Texas. He and his wife began a church in their living room with a big prayer - 10,000 people in 10 years. After the first 10 years, God gave them a bigger goal: 1 million people in the next 10 years! Chris and The More Disciples Podcast team explore the topics of collaboration, perseverance, and the great burden of committing to whatever it takes to see God raise up disciple-making movements.

The season kicks off with special guest, Rick Warren! Many of us know Rick Warren as the founding pastor of Saddleback Church and the author of The Purpose Driven Life, but he also serves as the Executive Director of Finishing the Task (FTT). Rick inspires and excites all of us by sharing FTT's vision for reaching every people group with the Gospel by 2033.

In this season's concluding episode, The More Disciples Podcast team shares some of what they're seeing God doing in their own contexts. Considering some of the guests and stories from this season, the team will celebrate the movement of the Spirit, encourage one another and others committed to multiplication, and dream together about the next season's episodes.
