We all have goals and dreams, but sometimes they don't happen on our timetable. We can experience failure on our way to victory. We feel defeat before we arrive at the destination. In this episode, Cherish and I talk about not giving up even when it doesn't look like you'll ever reach the finish line. Cherish discusses family life and the different hats she wears. Although she manages those hats, she still has personal dreams and aspirations. One of her main goals is to practice law. At the time of this interview, Cherish was preparing to take the Alabama Bar Exam. Since this interview, she has PASSED the Bar Exam. Cherish talks about wanting to fulfill the purpose God has given her and her determination to do what God has called her to do. She reminds us that the devil works overtime to distract us. You have to be intentional about pursuing your calling without putting God in a box. Cherish unpacks failure and how to overcome failure. They are community service leaders at their church and lead several efforts to minister to people who have experienced hurt and trauma. Their biggest struggle is staying free themselves. They recognize their own struggles and have been intentional about their prayers. They have seen God move on their behalf in a huge way. Leah describes blazing your trail as abiding in God. She discusses how abiding in God changes your desires, changes your prayers, and gives you strategies to burn the debris that is in your way. Leah unpacks the idea that sometimes we need to blaze ourselves. She encourages us to be quiet and still in God's presence. She encourages us to read God's Word, journal, and write down out prayers. In this episode, give your faith a little boost with God's word. April answers four questions: 1) What is faith? 2) How do I grow my faith? 3) How do I use my faith? 4) How do I share my faith? Faith requires a decision to put our natural senses and circumstances to the side. It's what we use to walk in the promises of God. Faith is how we live. We all have been given a measure of faith. It's our responsibility to grow it. We grow our faith by engaging in God's Word. We use our faith most effectively when we love. We use our faith by speaking God's Word and taking action steps when God leads us. Using our faith builds our courage to share our faith. We share our faith because God is good.
