The illegal immigrant who shot Kate Steinle while she was walking with her father on a San Francisco pier has been acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges and convicted of a lesser charge of being a felon in possession of a gun. Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a Mexican citizen who has been deported five times previously, faces a maximum sentence of three years. Doc expresses his frustration over the verdict.

Variety published a disturbing report about the allegations against longtime news anchor Matt Lauer. It seems like the NFL is fed up with the protest just as much as we are. There has been word going around that the NFL is trying to negotiate with the players and pay them a certain amount of money in order to stop the protest during the game.
