COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 will soon be available in Canada and this morning we looked at strategies parents can use to help children through what can be a frightening and stressful experience. Dr. Christine Chambers is the Scientific Director for Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Human Development, and she joined us this morning with tips and strategies for parents to help prepare their children and comfort them through the vaccination experience. 

Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by Canadian veterans but is also a time to educate on the atrocities of the Holocaust and the suffering of Jewish people during World War II. 

This is the 83rd anniversary of the anti-Jewish pogrom called ``Kristallnacht'' or the ``Night of Broken Glass'' -- when Nazis, among them many ordinary Germans, terrorized Jews in Germany and Austria.

The atrocities committed by the Nazis in World War II is well documented, but 1 in 5 Canadian youths do not have a clear understanding about the Holocaust. Joining us this morning is an educator with Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies, Daniella Lurion.
