Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. The need for blood is constant. But only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. You can help the American Red Cross make sure that supply meets demand.
Now in its 43rd year, the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive has grown into the largest and longest-running blood drive in New Hampshire and has collected more than 28,000 lifesaving blood donations. This year, the team aims to collect another 1,000 donations over two days – blood that will help patients throughout the Granite State and across the country.
The 43rd Annual Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive will take place August 26th and 27th, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m at the DoubleTree by Hilton located at 700 Elm Street in Manchester N.H.

Stephen Singer, long-time drive champion and Gail’s brother-in-law, joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about the extreme need for blood right now and the importance of this drive.

Daniel Stamm was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, where, as a teenager, he hosted a radio show and edited a youth magazine. He toured with a theater company, studied drama, and published a play before moving to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to work as a peace worker. Two years later, he returned to Germany to attend film school and study screenwriting.After directing a documentary about rock musician Nick Cave, Daniel moved to Los Angeles and graduated from the American Film Institute's directing program. In the years that followed, he wrote songs for local singers, became a certified hypnotist, and hitchhiked across the U.S.Daniel's first feature film, A NECESSARY DEATH, premiered at SXSW and won the Audience Award at AFI FEST later that same year. His second feature, THE LAST EXORCISM, received a number of internationa awards and grossed $65 million at the box office.  His new horror film LOCKBOX is now out on demand. Daniel joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center.

The Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit Maine is currently peforming the Tony Award winning musical "CIty of Angels" now through August 22nd.  Actor Stephen DeRosa, long time Broadway veteran, joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about his Ogunquit Playhouse debut and the show that does not get peformed very often.

Most children are told to dream big. Scott Spiezio dreamed to win a World Series and play 10 years in the Majors. Unlike other kids, he held a unique advantage, a father who had done exactly that. With countless hours of training, Scott hit the pivotal home run in game six of the 2002 World Series.  Scott had everything he could ever want: a World Series ring, a multimillion dollar contract, a beautiful wife, and two healthy sons. But his immense success, followed by an unexpected injury, led to confusion and depression.
Two-time World Series champion Scott Spiezio joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to tell his story of addiction, recovery and redemption in his new memoir THE HARDEST COMEBACk and a documentary film SPIEZIO out in select theaters in September.

For decades, rumors have swirled about massive,15 to 20-foot mako sharks patrolling the deep waters off Southern California. Long dismissed as fishermen's tales, new footage, along with a recently published photo capturing a mako that appears to push 15 feet, is now forcing scientists to rethink everything they know about these oceanic apex predators. Marine biologist Tristan Guttridge, alongside conservationist Kendyl Berna and shark tagger Keith Poe, leads an investigation to determine whether the world's biggest mako is real - and hunting in the coastal waters of Santa Catalina.
Discovery's Shark Week continues all this week and the documentary "Biggest Mako on Earth" can be seen at various times.  Kendyl joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about sharks and Shark Week on Discovery.

For over four decades, world-renowned photographer Timothy White has captured the faces that define our culture; Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Aretha Franklin, Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Z, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton and hundreds more.The new memoir Life Through My Lens is the story behind those photographs, a candid memoir that reveals the journey, the heartbreaks, and the raw moments that shaped the images now collected in the memoir's companion, TImothy White joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about his career and the people he has met.

Karen Korellis Reuther has been a designer for over forty years and today is a practicing activist committed to inclusion by design and ending gender bias in the built world. She is on the faculty at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, where she teaches in the Master's in Design Engineering program. Her new book is entitled MAN-MADE: How We Designed a World That Leaves Women Out, and How We Can Make It Right.  Karen joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about the new book out now.

Actor/Director/Writer Lou Diamond Phillips has amassed a career in film, television and stage that spans four decade. He burst onto the Hollywood scene with the films La Bamba, Stand and Deliver and Young Guns and has worked steadily through his most recent films 'The 33' about the Chilean mine disaster, the Jo Koy comedy 'Easter Sunday', thriller 'Werewolves', and drama 'Casa Grande'. His new film is called " Gangland" and it opens in theaters and on digital platforms July 10th.
