The group " Don't Trash Dover" is holding its 2nd Annual Power-of-an-Hour city-wide litter clean up day in honor of Earth Day.  Earth Day was April 22nd but this Dover Clean-Up Day will be Saturday April 26th starting at 9:30a.  Event organizer Deb Clough joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to encourage Dover residents to participate in the organized litter collections in each of Dover's six wards.

Shannon Fiedler is a New York based comedian, writer and content creator who has amassed over 500k followers on social media. Known for her relatable - albeit exaggerated - characters, Shannon distills ordinary situations to their most entertaining essence. Fiedler recently debuted her first stand-up special, Thirty, Flirty, & Crying,via YouTube and shared her comedy with Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center

A century later it inspired the poem and legend of "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." But the story is deeper and richer than we've all assumed. Acclaimed writer and editor Kostya Kennedy, through extraordinary and extensive research, has uncovered new and enlightening information on that amazing - including the women who were involved and African Americans in Boston - event presented now in his new book, THE RIDE: Paul Revere and the Night That Saved America.  Kostya joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center on the anniversary of the ride to share more revelations into this historical night for America.

Actor Shawn Ashmore is best-known for starring as "Bobby Drake," otherwise known as "Iceman," in the highly successful "X-Men" movie franchise, and reprised his role in XMEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Keeping with his superhero roots he was recently seen as "Lamplighter" on Amazon Prime's cult hit THE BOYS. Shawn can currently be seen in ABC's THE ROOKIE and also starred alongside Haley Attwell in the drama series CONVICTION on the same network. His new film is a horror film entitled IT FEEDS,  Shawn joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about the film which opens up April 18th  and his acting career on the Morning Information Center.

As of February 20, 2025, the film adaptation of Wicked (2024) has grossed over $727 million worldwide. The movie is projected to earn over $1 billion at the box office and the advance ticket sales for film were the second best for Fandango in 2024. The film was nominated for ten Oscars, including Best Picture, and won two.  Gregory Maguire, the acclaimed author behind the best-selling novel Wicked, is set to enchant readers once again with a prequel to this beloved story. Maguire's new novel, ELPHIE chronicles the formative years of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, unveiling her intriguing past and setting the stage for the global phenomenon that is Wicked. Gregory joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about the Wicked phenomenom.

Neil O'Brien is an award-winning journalist and producer who has worked at NBC News for more than two decades. He has produced hundreds of hours of television over the course of his career and his work with NBC News Specials has been honored with four Emmy Awards, a Peabody, and an Edward R. Murrow Award. Neil has spent more than a decade researching and conducting interviews for this book. Neil joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to discuss the book " After Disney."

You can make a splash for a cause.  This Saturday April 5th from 10a-1pm, teams will jump into Kingston Pond to help send kids to Camp Lincoln in Kingston.  This the largest fundraiser of the year and its goal is $60,000 for the Camp Lincoln's Annual Paddle Plunge.  The interim CEO Reid Van Keulen joined MIke Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about the local YMCA, its benefits to kids and the annual fundraiser.

The book not only rehabilitates Yoko Ono's reputation but elevates it to iconic status. David Sheff joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk Yoko, John, The Beatles and the latest book.

In his long career, magazine writer and biographer Bill Zehme had one white whale: the enigmatic TV giant Johnny Carson, whom Zehme called "The Great American Sphinx." In 2002, Zehme landed one of the most coveted assignments for a magazine writer: an interview with Johnny Carson-the only one he'd granted since retiring from hosting "The Tonight Show" a decade earlier. Zehme, who had been a diehard Carson fan since childhood, was tapped for the Esquire feature story thanks to his years of legendary celebrity profiles that included several high-profile show hosts-the resulting piece portrayed Carson as more human being than showbiz legend. Shortly after Carson's death in 2005 and urged on by many of those closest to Carson, Zehme signed a contract to do an expansive biography. Unfortunately, Zehme died 2023 and Mike Thomas was able to finish the book entitled CARSON THE MAGNIFICENT. Thomas has spent 14 years as the arts and entertainment features writer at the Chicago Sun-Times and joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about the Tonight Show and the one and only Johnny Carson.
