Singer/songwriter Don McLean of American Pie fame has released a brand new album of all new songs entitled " American Boys."  The album is available now and pays tribute to Don's rock and roll heroes.  Don McLean chatted with Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center about the new album and the 53rd anniversary of the classic song " American Pie" which was released in 1971.

The summer movie box office might be different this year because of last year's actor's and writer's strike.  From the get-go, because of the strikes, any comparisons between this summer's box office and those of past years will immediately be marked with a huge asterisk. Drew Taylor is an entertainment reporter and film critic for The Wrap and he joined Mike Pomp on the Mornomg Information Center to chat about the summer 2024 movie calendar and what we can expect.

Although many people around the world know John Oates as the co-creator of the pop group Hall & Oates, this versatile artist's musical roots run deep. HIs newest project is a collection of songs and an album called REUNION out now.  John Oates spent some time on the Morning Information Center with Mike Pomp to share the style and sound of the new record and to chat about the latest concert tour.

The Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine  has opened up its 2024 season with the hit Broadway musical " Waitress" with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. " Waitress" is a celebration of resilience, friendship and finding the courage to follow your dreams. Actress Desi Oakley plays the lead character Jenna,a pie maker, who finds herself trapped in an unhappy marriage.  Desi joined MIke Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about Waitress and her favorite role.

My Mama, Cass,  is the long-awaited, myth-busting, and deeply affecting memoir by the daughter of the legendary rock star " Mama" Cass-Elliot.  To the rest of the world, Cass Elliot was a rock star, a singer from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted band, The Mamas & The Papas, but to Owen Elliot-Kugell, she was just Mom. Owen joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about her Mom and the new memoir.

A multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner, Jane Seymour has proven her talents virtually in all media, the Broadway stage, motion pictures and television. Now actress Jane Seymour, stars in a heart-warming new film " Ruby's Choice" about a woman dealing with dementia. Jane spent some time with Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about the new film, now on demand.

Hoop Atlas from author Kirk Goldsberry examines how a handful of basketball superstars have reshaped the sport over the past three decades and charted the course to the future of the NBA. Kirk joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to talk about the players whose influence has revolutionized the league.

Police say 12 people were arrested last evening on the University of New Hampshire campus in Durham after pro-Palestinian demonstrations were held.  Of those arrested, 10 were students and two were not affiliated with the University.  At Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, about 90 people were arrested by police during similar demonstrations. NH Governor Chris Sununu is calling pro-Palestine protests taking place at the colleges pure anti-semitism.  The Governor says New Hampshire is ready to respond should any situation on campus escalate to the point where public safety is at risk. Governor Sununu joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to discuss the situations at the local schools.

Singer Ray Parker Jr was born on May 1st, 1954, so today the Ghostbusters songwriter turns 70 years young. He joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about the classic song and how it became a hit.

Stratham Parks and Recreation and the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce are joining forces  to present the 3rd Annual Great Bay Food Truck Festival Saturday May 4th. This family friendly event will include fabulous food creations from over 20 unique food trucks along with music in the park and games for the kids.
