The State Games of America are being hosted in Lynchburg this year at Liberty University starting July 31st with Opening Ceremonies on August 2nd. She spoke on the highlights from the last year including issues with the weather and the success of workforce and homeowner programs. Mayor Tweedy also touched on the proposed almost $10 million sidewalk and why it is projected to be so costly

David Fredriksen with CASA of Central Virginia and 3-year CASA volunteer Darnell Wood talk about the need for more male advocates in our area. Darnell talks about his first case as a CASA and how rewarding it is to help keep children with their families and out of foster care. They also discuss what goes into training to become a CASA.
