Amid the many events taking place at the Fair today - we had the chance to talk to Sandi Braunstein a disabled veteran with DAV of Minnesota about her overcoming injury to play adaptive sports. attending Winter Sports Clinics in Colorado and she shares how other disabled veterans can get involved!

A mixed bag with Henry Lake as we discuss the big story of the State Fair facing some delay issues after the storms which also affected the Minnesota Twins in their 10-6 loss to the Braves last night notwithstanding a severe weather delay much to the dismay of Bailey Ober and others who expressed their frustrations - we asked Henry about that!

A lot of events today honoring military veterans as it is Military Appreciation Day at the Minnesota State Fair! So many events happening around the fairgrounds including The 34th Infantry Division Red Bull Band, the History Walking Tour, and more to honor those who serve and have served - taking place at the Fair!

We were joined by Congressional candidate Joe Teirab who is running for the 2nd Congressional district in Minnesota and Tuesday will go a long way in determining who the Republicans will be backing in their race against Angie Craig so we chatted with Joe Teirab about tonight’s decision, campaigning and talking to the people about what he can bring to the table in running against Angie Craig and what makes her vulnerable in this race. 

For the Morning Take we talked to Blois about the Minnesota Star Tribune posting that Joe Teirab is being backed by Republicans in the 2nd District as well as the possibility of seeing Minnesota Governor and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz at the Minnesota State Fair today! 

The State Fair is about nostalgia for many of us, and if there is one booth that captures the nostalgia of growing up in Minnesota, it’s The Minnesotan.   The White Bear Lake staple is in their 3rd year with a booth at the fair, and everyone smiles as they look at shirts with logos of the now closed White Bear Mariner High school, or Skateland or Reggie’s Dance Land on Lake Minnetonka. Corey Roberts is the mind behind it all and joins us to talk about it!

Fielding struggles from Eddie Julien would lead to the Minnesota Twins dropping the final game against St. Louis at Target Field, we talked to Dan Hayes of The Athletic joined us for Twins First Pitch to recap the Twins late blunders, updates on Buxton and Correa injuries and the AL Central and playoff picture currently!

Rashmi Bhattachan of MomoDosa joins to share some of their Indian dishes and talk about bringing her business to the Minnesota State Fair!
