The Morning Rush

On Monday's Rush, Tony C recaps a good bounce-back win by the Ravens ... an inspiring win by the Steelers ... and a bad loss by the Washington Fighting Riveras.

Tony looks at the new AP Top 25 in college football, and he looks back at WVU's loss to Texas.

And Tony goes over the playoff pairings in West Virginia high school football, and runs down what has to happen in order for some teams to play since the powers that be continue to change the rules.

On Friday’s Rush, Tony C is joined in studio by Frankfort cross country coaches Juan Phillips and Woody Snoberger to talk about the Falcon boys winning the Class AA state championship (0:48:27 mark).

Tony runs down the schedule in high school football (whatever is left of it), and he talks with Fort Hill head football coach Zack Alkire (1:22:41) about the Sentinels’ season-opening win over Mountain Ridge (before the season was shut down … again).

In our Rush Friday Feature, Joe Shuta catches up with former NFL player and current Baltimore Ravens analyst “The Missile” Qadry Ismail (1:43:28).

Tony also recaps the Packers’ win over a decimated 49ers team on Thursday night, and the NBA is one step closer to beginning the new season in December.

On Thursday's Rush, Tony C is back from a day off, and he talks with Allegany head football coach Bryan Hansel (0:46:18 mark).

We also hear from Hampshire head coach Aaron Rule (1:08:06), and we hear a portion of an interview with WVSSAC executive director Bernie Dolan on Statewide Sportsline (1:37:18).

Tony talks about the Mineral Bowl between Frankfort and Keyser getting cancelled, and how both teams are in jeopardy of losing their entire seasons because of "The Map".

We also look at Antonio Brown's first day with the Tampa Bay Bucs, and some NFC teams are having Covid-19 and quarterback issues.

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C is joined by Frankfort head coach Kevin Whiteman for his weekly spot. The guys talk about a game that never happened last week, and a game they hope that happens this week (0:47:00 mark).

Tony becomes quite angry at the people who continue to say it's "just sports" during the pandemic. It's about time we start taking the kids' mental and emotional health into consideration (0:18:01 and 2:03:59).

We also hear from Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh after one of his players announces he has tested positive for the virus, and we hear from Washington head coach Ron Rivera during his weekly press conference.

On Monday's Rush, Tony C pays tribute to the Frankfort High School boys' cross country team, which captured the WV Class AA state title last Saturday (1:37:50 mark).

Tony looks at how the latest WV Covid Map is affecting teams and schools this week (52:00). He also breaks down the Steelers' big win over the Ravens on Sunday (25:34), and he takes a look at the new AP Top 25 in college football.

On Friday's Rush, Tony C is joined by Mountain Ridge head coach Ryan Patterson as the Miners get ready to open the season (0:45:40 mark).

We also hear from Hampshire head coach Aaron Rule (1:34:44) and Tony runs down tonight's schedule (including those who aren't playing).

Tony recaps the Thursday night game between the Falcons and Panthers, and he discusses the No. 1 team in the country losing its No. 1 player.

And Joe Shuta has an unusual Rush Friday Feature. Instead of interviewing a former player or athlete, he interviews ... Tony C! (1:46:53)

On Thursday's Rush, Tony C is joined by Allegany football coach Bryan Hansel as the Campers get ready to open the season against Northern (0:49:05 mark).

Tony gets into the situation involving the Dodgers' Justin Turner, who is being vilified by many for returning to celebrate L.A.'s World Series win despite testing positive for coronavirus.

Tony also talks Steelers-Ravens Part 1, and the mess the Big Ten has gotten itself into with its strict -- sometimes ridiculous -- virus protocols and guidelines.

On Wednesday’s Rush, Tony C recaps Game 6 of the World Series as the Dodgers celebrate their first title since 1988.

Tony breaks down the fateful sixth inning for the Rays and the questionable decision by manager Kevin Cash to pull Blake Snell. It also gives Tony an opportunity to once again bash analytics and managers who overuse them.

Frankfort head coach Kevin Whiteman hops on the Rush Line for his weekly spot, and the guys talk about the Falcons’ big win over North Marion and this Friday’s equally big game against No. 4 Oak Glen (0:47:25 mark). Tony also looks at the latest WVSSAC high school football ratings after Week 8.

And it’s a Press Conference Wednesday as we hear from West Virginia head coach Neal Brown and the Steelers’ Mike Tomlin.

On Tuesday's Rush, Tony C recaps the Rams' dominating win over the Bears on Monday night, and he previews Game 6 of the World Series.

We hear from Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh as his team gets ready for the rival Steelers, and we hear from Washington defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, as they head into a bye week.

Del Rio was filling in for Ron Rivera, who was finishing up his last cancer treatment and ringing the bell on Monday.

Tony also discussed the quarterback situation in New England, and are the Browns better off without OBJ?

On Monday's Rush, Tony C recaps wins by the Steelers and the Fighting Riveras on Sunday.

Jordan Nicewarner (@DatDudeNice) takes his usual seat in studio for the final two hours of the show. The guys talk about what a great World Series it's been so far, and Tony C reacts to seeing his first-ever soccer game live and in person over the weekend (0:51:30 mark).

The guys also run down the latest AP Top 25 in college football, and the Weir cross country runner who helped a fallen opponent cross the finish line has been identified (1:27:27).
