Restrictions are lifting and many of us are asking, "Where do we go from here?" Don & Rebecca recently got the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Jim Denison who is the founder and CVO of the Denison Forum, a nonprofit Christian media organization that comments on current issues through a biblical lens. They not only talked about what life after the Coronavirus will look like but the opportunity that we have right now as Christians for evangelism.

Dear Rebecca and Burns,

My friend’s golden retriever ran away about a month ago and she was devastated. Her husband went to a golden retriever rescue to see if it had been found and we were all thrilled when he came back with the dog. But then her husband told my husband the truth – it’s a different dog. My friend thinks her dog is just spooked and skinny from having run away. I say I need to tell her the truth but my husband says I need to stay out of it – it’s none of my business. What would you do?

One of the biggest struggles that parents are facing right now is simply the act of motivating their kids to not only do schoolwork, but also to do well. That's why we decided to talk about a few things that we as parents can do that can improve this area of our lives during this changing time.

Rebecca has become a multi-tasking parent over the last month as her kids do their schoolwork from home and let's just say her appreciation for teachers has skyrocketed since then.

It's no secret that a record number of people are out of work and if you were to ask anybody right now, a majority of them would say they are financially stressed out right now. Considering that before the pandemic, 78% of Americans lived paycheck-to-paycheck, this economic slowdown certainly has done a ton of damage. However, as we look ahead to the future, there are a few lessons that we have learned from this virus that will help us prepare way better for the future should another shutdown occur again.

Recently, Rebecca experienced something that truly terrifying in her family and despite the fear of the situation, it taught her a lot about God's ferocious love for us.

Our own Jay Allen became an Uncle this week! His sister Cassidy and husband Tyler had a little surprise as baby Knox showed up 4 weeks early being born at 8:57pm on Monday!

COVID-19’s impact on the DFW community has been substantial. Unemployment rates are at an all-time high as many businesses remain shut down due to the pandemic. This is causing the morale of the community to be at an all-time low. Amongst others, the most affected people in the community are service workers. Being so Chibo is being refocused to help this important sector get back on its feet.

I pray that God would strengthen our backs during this pandemic. I wanted you to know that as I prayed for you this morning and as I pray for you throughout the day, I am praying that God would strengthen our backs because the better thing, in the long run, is not the quick fix. It's the endurance provided by God.
