We’re comforted by clarity, control and certainty, but when it comes to Christianity, comfort was not guaranteed. When Jesus ascended to heaven, he left his Holy Spirit with us as a helper, guide - and even a comforter! - but with it also came the responsibility to carry the way of Jesus forward.
Using Acts 17 and 18, this message will challenge you to consider what you believe to be true, where you’re placing the foundation of your faith and how it would change you to find those answers lacking. If churches are meant to be a safe place for people to get to know God, it starts with his followers transforming in humility.
