RIDE SERIES 005 - THE RIDER MINDSET is the main theme of this Rider Series discussion between Jorge and Chappy (Neil Chappell).
Whether you’re carving up corners on the track, cruising mountain roads, or weaving through weekday traffic, this episode is about something that matters just as much as throttle control or tyre pressure… and that’s mindset.
Because let’s be honest, your motorcycle will only ever go where your mind lets it. From handling fear on a fast lap, to staying sharp in unpredictable traffic, to hitting that perfect flow state where everything just clicks, it all starts in your head.
While these boys aren’t psychologists of any kind, they decided they’d still dive in headlong into a discussion about what makes a great rider from the neck up based on their years of experience.
There’s no doubt that track focus, road awareness, emotional control, and mental habits separate the safe, smooth, and skilled motorcyclists from the sloppy and reactive riders who never reach their potential.

JO SALTER is owner and operator of Ride Dynamics, a Gold Coast based motorcycle business that focuses on Rider Development and Suspension Services.
In this episode, Jo talks about one of his biggest passions … MotoGP racing and his thoughts about the 2025 season. The discussion not only touched on what’s happening in Motogp this year and beyond, but also interesting technical topics associated with engine configuration, aero dynamics and tyres.
As Jorge says, he’s just a simple motor mechanic so all of this MotoGP technical stuff is mind boggling, and chatting to people who know their business like Jo is food for the brain.
The best way to get in touch with Joe and the Ride Dynamics team is via their social media page on Facebook and website:
