On this episode, my guest is Mike Mason. He is a staple icon rider in the sport of FMX, with countless medals in X Games and Gravity Games. He’s particularly known for having the best style and huge seat grab extension tricks. Having been influenced by the 90’s video era and after coming to that fork in the road with racing Supercross and Motocross, Mason finally decided it was time to take his half time Arenacross fmx show more seriously and make the switch to full time Freestyle rider, a taboo thing to do at the time, to go from racer to freestyler. His career spanned a fruitful 20+ years and with a major portion of his goals and dreams checked off, he decided it was time to officially retire and enjoy the second half of his life. His days now are spent golfing, firing up his Traeger grill and kicking back with out all the stresses and pressure that come with a risk taking career, like freestyle motocross.
