Welcome to the second episode in the Mountain Series, where I record out in nature, surrounded by mountains, and share with you something radically transformative for your business. You might hear some background noise!


One of the most common things I see with entrepreneurs who are just starting out is that they are focusing on the wrong things. They’re spending too much time on the wrong things and not enough time on the right things.


There are two factors we focus on in business: necessities and optimizations. So what’s the difference?


An example of a necessity is sales. No sales = no money coming in. 


What’s an optimization? Getting better at sales, whether that’s writing better copy, creating a sales page, etc. 


The ratio of which you should be focusing on this is 80/20. 80% of your time should be focused on necessities, and 20% of your time should be focused on optimization.


Getting better at the basics is what is best for your business.
