Here's another special episode between AW and Nick Studholme.
It was a fun & fact filled conversation specifically about tendon rehab because AW jacked up his lateral epicondyle and was seeking advice from Nick. It started as a conversation on the phone before AW realized it would be a great podcast conversation, as well as an opportunity to give AW crap about another stupid injury.
Enjoy.
We spoke with Dr. Alyson Evans, Founder & CEO of a new company called Fringe. Fringe has some really pure CBD products, along with a fantastic education platform to educate clinicians about the endocannabinoid system & what it does in everyone's body. We learned a lot in this conversation, and think you will too. JC & AW have known Alyson for awhile and got the opportunity to become her friend when she was the Medical Director for Rocktape.
Dr. Alyson Evans, DC has dedicated the last 20 years to mashing up her passions for healthcare and education, alongside pursuing her purpose of building and serving a team. Alyson has helped grow multiple businesses, by prioritizing professional education and product innovation.
She was at the forefront of growing the RockTape brand and community for a decade. Up for a new challenge, she found herself asking “What else is possible?” Alyson is the Co-CEO and Founder of Fringe, a company grounded by it’s dedication to improving how we live and how we learn.

Dr. Tom Michaud is back on the podcast this week & it was a great conversation!
We discussed the foot (a lot), being an inventor, applying research and a whole lot more. You won't be disappointed in this conversation.
Make sure to check out his work at www.humanlocomotion.com
Since graduating from Western States Chiropractic College in the early 80s, Dr. Tom Michaud has published numerous book chapters and dozens of articles on subjects ranging from biomechanics of the first ray and shoulder, to the pathomechanics of vertebral artery dissection.
In 1993, Williams and Wilkins published Dr. Michaud’s first textbook, Foot Orthoses and Other Forms of Conservative Foot Care, which was eventually translated into four languages. His next book, Human Locomotion: The Conservative Management of Gait-Related Disorders, a textbook published in 2012, is used in physical therapy, chiropractic, pedorthic, and podiatry schools around the world. He has also published a book for recreational runners: Injury-Free Running: How to Build Strength, Improve Form, and Treat/Prevent Injuries.
This week JC & AW speak with Jim Bennitt. Jim is a a former wrestler, massage therapist and clerk at the Chicago Board of Trade, began his studies in Yoga, Tantra and Ayurveda in 1997. Originally he took up Yoga as a way to help heal back pain, but soon after, discovered how the practice affects not only the body, but also mind and spirit. He is the co-owner of Tejas Yoga in Chicago & a national & international educator.
We're speaking with Jimji today because he has influenced both of us as movement professionals & has a depth of knowledge about yoga that has brought him to the top of his field. He also is the person AW considers to be his yoga teacher.
Jim has recently come out with a 'yoga' app for people to take yoga on demand & live, and you can find more info at https://tejasyogachicago.com/
In this special episode, Adam & his good buddy Mike Stella (ATC, owner of the Movement Underground) talk about what 'Grinds Our Gears' in our shared movement profession. We don't hold back in this wide ranging conversation.
Note: This is not a traditional Movement Guild Podcast because Jessica wasn't there and Adam actually gave his viewpoints about things in the movement profession, rather than just interview others. It's a long episode, clocking in at 1hour45 minutes and there are swear words, including an occasional F Bomb dropped.
This episode serves as the 'season ending' palette cleanser of sorts.
It was fun. It might be controversial, but it's worth the listen.
JC & AW had a fantastic conversation with Michol Dalcourt. AW has been friends with Michol since before he was a PT, and Michol's work has been of great influence to AW and also The Movement Guild.
Michol is an internationally recognized industry leader in health and human performance. He is the founder and CEO of the IoM, inventor of ViPR PRO and Co-Founder of PTA Global. He has given hundreds of international lectures and has been a featured speaker at most of the world’s top fitness conferences, fitness clubs and at many colleges and universities around the world.
