We are back!! It is a new season and some things have changed, but we are still bringing you the same great content. After getting caught up with each other, we get into part 2 of our Quentin Tarantino retrospective. We dive into Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2 as well as Inglorious Basterds and Death Proof. It is our season finale and we are heading back to the vault. We wrap up our season by adding some more films to the official Movie Council Vault. We each nominate some movies we believe are worthy of enshrinement. We add quite a few new ones and only end up with a couple on the brink. This week we are talking about music in films. We break down our favorite composers and musical scores as well as our favorite movie soundtracks and favorite songs. We discuss how much music can set the tone of a film and how important that can be. With some help from producer extraordinaire DP, we even get to listen to some of these songs. We are doing something a little different this week. Instead of talking about movies that already exist, we are talking about movies we want to see get made. We each take turns pitching ideas for movie remakes, reboots or spin-offs. We all have some great pitches and really nail down some amazing movie ideas that should go into production immediately. (Listen up Hollywood!!) From horror to comedy to action, there’s something for everyone. We also get into some listener feedback on last week’s tear-jerker of an episode. After an unexpected week off we are back! This week we bring you a spoiler-free review of the new movie The Suicide Squad and then we dive into our topic. We each watched a movie that we surprisingly had never see. We’ve all heard each other say “wait… you’ve never seen that”, so we finally saw them. We talk about Get Out, Mad Max: Fury Road, Big Fish and Field Of Dreams. You may want to have a tissue handy, because we get deep and tell some personal stories that brought some of us to tears. (well, at least one of us) But we also have some big laughs and great conversations. This one will definitely give you “the feels”. Enjoy!

This week we have dusted off the spotlight and are shining it on Quentin Tarantino. Because Quentin has had such an amazing and long career, we are focusing on his early work this time. (we’ll be back with more) We get into Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and take a deep dive into Jackie Brown. We also look at some of his writing credits, like True Romance and Natural Born Killers.
