While the MCU has been churning out movies and TV shows like cars on an assembly line there is one show we really love and are excited about--"Loki". We've waited months for the trailer for season 2 to drop and now that it's out we are breaking it down and offering our take, our expectations, and express our hesitation at Kang being the villain for this season.

This is a first for us! We are taking a departure from the world of film and television and diving into Shakespeare. We have a number of guests lined up to come on and discuss their passion and approach to understanding the works of William Shakespeare and how they present them to the wider audience.

This is the first of five episodes with Colin David Reese of the show "Shakespeare Unbound". Throughout the miniseries Colin takes us on a journey from his childhood love for Shakespeare to analyzing what he really meant in his famous "to be or not to be speech" to the Folio and how academics and actors clash on their unique perspectives and approaches to the plays and we conclude with making Shakespeare relevant and accessible to the ordinary folk.

His Moviness reacts to the trailer for "Kraven the Hunter" and discusses with his co-host Luka what he thinks, if Aaron Taylor Johnson can pull off being a menacing hunter or if he's just "land Aquaman", why Russell Crowe has a thing for doing accents now, and if this will compel you to like Sony over Marvel Studios.

We enjoy the "John Wick" movies as much as the next person, but seriously? A miniseries about young Winston and the Continental and there's not even a hint of John Wick? This is too good to roast! We go over why we think the series will tank even with Mel Gibson in it, if it's overdoing it, and we ask, "why? Why is this even a thing? Why in God's name would they do this?"

We take a break from reviewing movies and interviewing guests to take a look at the life of Saint Genesius of Rome, the patron saint of directors and actors, and how this method actor became a martyr.

In this interview episode we talk to Dara Sanders, chairwoman of the Alexandria Film Festival in northern Virginia, and she tells us about the festival, the film scene in the northern Virginia/DC area, plans for cultivating and promoting young talent, and what plans for the future.

Today we're taking it easy as it's the Labor Day weekend, but His Moviness did want to impart some recommendation for the best movie to watch while lounging around the house, looking for some time to kill, and welcoming the arrival of fall.

Today we take a look at the "Super Mario Brothers Movie" and discuss its merits, how it stacks up to the franchise overall, how grateful we were to hear Chris Pratt not do an Italian accent, and if this is the start of something big. Also, the Movie Pope reveals which brother is his favorite.

We've enjoyed the series "Archer"--the characters, their quirks, their hijinks, and their total disregard for their mortality in the face of danger. It truly informs us. Anyway, with the season premiere today we're going to take a look at the trailer and offer our take, discuss if Archer should have ended years ago, and what we will miss.

We welcome our very first guest, Brady Jacquin, local filmmaker in the Charlotte area. He sits down (figuratively) and discusses how he got started in filmmaking, the lessons he's learned along the way, his approach to the process, and why it's important to tell stories honestly than simply following the age old formula.
