The Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is expected to make an announcement on the interest rates later today. This is as South Africa's Consumer Price Inflation surged to the highest level in 13 years. Data released by Statistics South Africa shows that the consumer price inflation increased to 7.4% percent in June, from 6.5% in May this year.
