Troy Jackson wears many hats! How many? You’ll need both hands to count. In addition to being beautiful, black, gay and Nova Scotian, Troy is an amazing Toronto based performer, writer, activist and President at Masjid el-Tawhid Unity Mosque - a gender equal, queer-affirming place of healing. Hold tight, we’re just getting started! Troy is also a co-owner of Glad Day Bookshop which is the first Canadian and longest surviving queer bookstore WORLDWIDE! Serving the LGBTQ community since 1970! This year Troy went back home to Nova Scotia and acted as the director of The Emerging Lens Film Festival. Oh and did we mention Troy is a twin?! To top it all off, Troy is a husband and father to a beautiful 2 year old boy.
