The town of Rodeo, California sits on San Pablo Bay in northwest Contra Costa County. It was here that on a December evening in 1969, a woman reported hearing a scream coming from a neighboring apartment. When the resident of the apartment arrived home, he found the living room in disarray and his girlfriend missing. She was never seen alive again.
