Gather round, campers! In today's bite-sized episode of Immature History Meghan showers us with knowledge of Ticker Tape Parades and Madison warns us of crimes in Antarctica.
Happy magical Monday, Campers! Today we talk must-see movies, podcasts we can't remember the name of, and our hopes and dreams for Meghan's birthday. Then, the birthday girl herself takes us all the way to London, where she deems the Warner Bros. Studio Tour of The Making of Harry Potter a museum (and rightfully so) and gives us the history of the books, the movies, and witchcraft and wizardry.
Important update: we have, after the recording of this episode, determined that Meghan might actually be a Hufflepuff and not a Ravenclaw. Let us know what you think.
Happy St. Paddy's Day and happy early birthday to Seaweed the Otter, Campers! In today's episode, we throw it back to the early 2000s: Madison covers the Avril Lavigne replacement conspiracy theory and Meghan tells us all about the history of Beanie Babies.
Happy St. Paddy's week, Campers! We have an extra special treat for you today: Jade of the AboutABook podcast tells us all about Dublin's National Leprechaun Museum! Jade works at the museum as one of their storytellers; she takes us on a virtual tour and wows us endlessly with her knowledge of Irish folklore. We also spend a lot of time apologizing on behalf of all Americans for being so embarrassing about St. Patrick's Day (among other things).
Find (and leave a review for!) Jade's podcast, About A Book, wherever you like to listen! www.aboutabookpodcast.com
Happy Thursday, Campers! Hope you're feeling immature today, because we're reading you the Wikipedia articles for the Church of the SubGenius and Earring Magic Ken.
WOW do we have a good one for you today, Campers! Join us as we bully snakes and mosquitos, talk about cave diving, and marvel at medical history (if you're squeamish about bodily fluids, we recommend you fast forward from 12:54 to 17:08). Then, Meghan keeps it weird and takes us to the Portland Puppet Museum (and things get really off the rails). Happy Monday!
Hop on in, Campers - we're talking about weird history! Today, Madison tells us about history's most bizarre duel, and Meghan enchants us with the story of the Washington Generals. Also, we make up new Spice Girls.
Get your hot water ready, Campers, because today we're noodling! We talk TV and podcasts, Madison has a meltdown about Neopets, there is a loooot of preambling, and we get two museums for the price of one: the CupNoodles Museums in Yokohama and Osaka, Japan.
Indices galore today, Campers! Today, Meghan takes us back in time with the story of Bridey Murphy, and we once again rail against capitalism as Madison tells us about the Waffle House Index.
It's Museum Camp Monday!! We discuss all the usuals, then Meghan introduces us to a brand new segment in which we give our most lukewarm takes. Then, Meghan takes us to the House of Dance & Feathers in New Orleans and teaches an extra-raspy Madison about the history of Mardi Gras. Go Babies!
