BAUTISMO: LO QUE SIGNIFICA SER CRISTIANO

En este mensaje hablamos sobre “El bautismo y lo que significa ser cristiano”.

Tal vez usted fue bautizado cuando era un bebé; eso es en realidad lo que llamaríamos “Dedicación de un niño o bebé”.

Quizás fuiste bautizado en una iglesia hace mucho tiempo, pero en realidad nunca significó nada especial para ti.

Quizás nunca hayas sido bautizado después de venir al Señor... Entonces tengo algunas noticias emocionantes para ti. Les contaré más al final de esta charla.

Por lo general, no “repetimos” el Sacramento del bautismo con regularidad como lo hacemos con el Sacramento de la Comunión. Esto se debe a que son Sacramentos diferentes que representan y declaran cosas diferentes.

Por lo general, una vez que eres bautizado no necesitas repetirlo. Pero… tal vez usted esté sintiendo que quiere ser bautizado nuevamente porque ahora comprende mejor lo que significa para usted como cristiano…

O tal vez quieras volver a dedicar tu vida y caminar en vida al Señor y estés listo para “dar el paso”, por así decirlo.

Pero primero déjame explicarte: “¿Qué es el bautismo?”

BAPTISM: WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHRISTIAN

In this message, we talk about “Baptism and What It Means to be a Christian”.

Maybe you were baptized as an infant – that is actually what we would call “Infant or Baby Dedication.”

Maybe you were baptized in a church a long time ago, but it never really meant anything special to you.

Maybe you have never been baptized after coming to the Lord … I have some exciting news for you then. I will tell you more at the end of this talk.

We don’t usually “repeat” the Sacrament of baptism on a regular basis like we do for the Sacrament of Communion. This is because these are different Sacraments that represent and declare different things.

Usually, once you are baptized you do not need to repeat it. But … maybe you are feeling like you want to be baptized again because now you have a better understanding of what it means to you as a Christian …

Or maybe you want to re-dedicate your life and walk in life to the Lord and are ready to “take the plunge”, so to speak.

But, first let me explain, “What is Baptism?”

Acts 5:34-39

34 But one member, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, who was an expert in religious law and respected by all the people, stood up and ordered that the men be sent outside the council chamber for a while.

35 Then he said to his colleagues, "Men of Israel, take care what you are planning to do to these men!

“If it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!"

I want to talk with you about something that I have been struggling with, and maybe you have been, too.

You will need to listen closely and following with me carefully as we move forward. What we are going to talk about is not “difficult” but it is a bit “detailed and complicated”.

"¡Oye, Judas!" - Un descubrimiento sorprendente

¡LO HICISTE BIEN!

Cuando yo era un joven cristiano, dije que esto nunca podría suceder, porque la Verdad de la Palabra de Dios es absoluta, no obsoleta.

Pero yo era joven y no conocía nada mejor.

Nuestros Jueces ni siquiera pueden definir “¿qué es una mujer y qué es un hombre?”

Cuando miramos a nuestro alrededor y vemos toda la corrupción política, las mentiras y falsedades en las noticias, el robo de nuestras “palabras” que luego se corrompen y se usan para significar algo completamente diferente…

Sabemos que vivimos en una época en la que la Verdad ha sido llamada mentira y las Mentiras han sido llamadas –y aceptadas– como Verdad.

¡CÓMO pudo haber entendido Judas todas estas cosas hace más de 2.000 años!

¿Cómo pudo haber escrito todas estas cosas en sólo 25 versos?

“¡Oye, JUDA! ¡IMAGINA QUE HAY UN CIELO SOBRE NOSOTROS Y DEBAJO DE NOSOTROS SÓLO UN INFIERNO!

¡Jude lo hizo bien! Judas estaba en el lado correcto de la historia.

Aquellos que se burlan de la verdad de Dios y siguen sus propios deseos mientras afirman ser cristianos, son el tipo de "cristianos" más peligroso.

Estas personas representan un peligro para ellos mismos y para cualquier cristiano en el que puedan influir.

El cristianismo progresista no es cristianismo en absoluto. Simplemente son personas que quieren que las llamen de otra manera porque saben que están equivocadas.

¡Y la palabra “progresista”, tal como se usa estos días, NO significa “avanzar y mejorar”! ¡Lo que realmente representa es “regresar a la oscuridad y al abismo”!

“Hey, Jude!” - A Most Amazing Discovery

YOU GOT IT RIGHT!

When I was a young Christian, I said that this could never happen, because the Truth of the Word of God is absolute, not obsolete.

But I was young and I didn’t know any better.

Pontius Pilate asked, “What is Truth”. Today, people think that “we all have our unique truths to guide us”.

Our Judges cannot even define “what is a woman and what is a man?”

HOW could Jude have understood all of these things more than 2,000 years ago!

How could he have written all of these things in only 25 verses?

“HEY, JUDE! IMAGINE THERE IS A HEAVEN ABOVE US AND BELOW US ONLY HELL!”

Jude DID get it right! Jude was on the right side of history.

Those who mock God's truth and who follow their own desires all while claiming to be Christians, are the most dangerous kind of “Christians”.

These persons pose a danger to themselves and to any Christians they might influence.

Progressive Christianity is not Christianity at all. It is simply people wanting to be called something other than what they are because they know they are wrong.

And, the word “progressive” as it is being used these days, does NOT mean “advancing and getting better”! What it really represents is “going backwards in to the darkness and the abyss”!
