The Music Buzz

It's officially awards season, so what better time to talk about the best music in movies and TV. We get into our favorite soundtracks, the TV shows that gave us the best new music and how music affects our experiences as viewers. We also debrief the Bonnaroo lineup, the disturbing docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, and why Kevin Hart isn't hosting the Academy Awards. And most importantly: who would play each of us in a movie about our lives?

Join us in recapping 2018's best albums, songs and live shows! We also debrief the Grammy nominations, make our predictions on who's gonna sweep the awards and get into the dos and don'ts of concert etiquette.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! We're debriefing the CMAs, "thank u, next," and arguing over when it is an appropriate time to start celebrating Christmas!

We're excited to welcome The Music Buzz's first guest: the pop diva aficionado, Mr. Andrew McPherson! We get into A Star Is Born, the best pop divas of our youth and of today, fandoms, and argue over who is the best pop diva of all time. We also grill Andrew with all of our deep, important questions like what his favorite Carly Rae Jepson song is, what his best Nashville celeb encounter was, and what life is like being a self-proclaimed Puther.

On episode 5 we're talking about all things 90s! Our favorite songs, trends, one-hit wonders and everything in between. We also talk about the latest news in music: Spotify's Artist Direct Upload, allegations of Ticketmaster colluding with scalpers, and Maroon 5 being selected for the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show!

We're spilling the tea on Queen Taylor Swift. We recap her concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, go through the progression of her career, and spill all our feelings.

Join us for Episode 3 to learn a little bit more about what makes Music City so great! We also get down to the nitty gritty about This Is America, Kanye's questionable tweets, and rock and roll in Nashville.

You've been asking, so we're delivering!! Episode 2 is finally here. Join us as we delve into Kacey Musgraves' new record, lady bosses, and our favorite women in music right now!

Stay buzzed, friends.
