In this episode of "The Music in Me," I delve into the magical world of music and its deep-rooted connection to witchcraft. I take us on a historical journey, exploring the evolution of songs with witchy themes from medieval bards to contemporary chart-toppers. These songs have reflected society's changing views of witches, painting them as either ultimate villains or misunderstood underdogs. I also dissect specific songs, like "Witchy Woman" by the Eagles and "Witchcraft" by Frank Sinatra, emphasizing their enchanting metaphors and their ability to cast a spell on listeners. The episode highlights the impact of witchy songs on popular culture, from movies to TV shows, and discusses how some songs, like "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath, have raised controversy due to their dark and occult-inspired themes.

This episode is going to be a lot of fun I hope and full of more great information about the decade of my birth.
I want you to sit back, close your eyes and step into a time machine with me as I embark on a musical journey once again back to the groovy era of the 1970s. This week we’re going to discuss singer-songwriters who ruled the airwaves with their soul-stirring lyrics and unforgettable melodies. Get ready to dive deep into the lives, stories, and songs of iconic artists who shaped the soundtrack of a generation. From introspective ballads to foot-stomping anthems, this podcast will take you on a rollercoaster ride through the golden age of singer-songwriters, uncovering the magic that continues to resonate with music lovers of all ages. So, tune in, turn up the volume, and let's rediscover the musical gems of the seventies together!
The 1970s was a golden era for singer-songwriters, a time when troubadours like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Carole King took center stage with their heartfelt lyrics and acoustic melodies. Their songs carried the essence of that decade, capturing the hopes, dreams, and complexities of the era. As we listen to their music today, we're transported to a time when intimate, introspective storytelling ruled the charts, when the warm strum of a guitar and the evocative timbre of a voice were enough to stir the soul. The singer-songwriters of the '70s created a sonic tapestry that still resonates, weaving a sense of nostalgia that tugs at the heartstrings and reminds us of the power of song to connect us across time.

In today’s episode I’m going to talk about how music helped me go from hating exercise to loving it and more specifically falling in love with dance. I hope that this episode teaches you all about the incredible power of music and inspires you to get up and dance!
Music has an enchanting ability to ignite passions, and for me, it was the catalyst that sparked an overwhelming love for dancing. From the moment the first notes played, I found myself irresistibly drawn into a world of rhythm and expression. The melodies seemed to sync effortlessly with the beat of my heart, urging my body to sway, groove, and twirl in perfect harmony. Each song became a new adventure, a chance to explore movements and emotions I never knew existed within me. What started as a simple toe-tapping soon evolved into an insatiable obsession with dance. It wasn't just the steps; it was the connection between the music and my soul that made me feel truly alive. Music transformed me from a casual observer to an enthusiastic dancer, and in that transformation, I discovered a passion that continues to fill my life with immeasurable joy and boundless energy.

Music along with many other things helped me gain my confidence and it helped me deal with my feelings of insecurity and is a huge part of me becoming the woman that I am today. You know, a person who has the courage to start a podcast and share her story with all of you. From meditation to motivation, music helped me become someone I’m proud of and it’s helped me learn to love myself just as I am. I’m a totally different person than I was two years ago, and I am still improving and trying new things every day. The change in me didn’t happen overnight, I had to really work at it, and it was extremely hard at times, but music helped me a lot.
