Adam Taylor – President & CEO, APM Music
Adam Taylor is President & CEO of APM Music, where he has spent the last 24 years leading one of the world's largest and most respected production music libraries. With a background in business, media, and intellectual property strategy, Adam has guided APM through the evolving landscape of music licensing, championing the protection and monetization of creative rights across television, film, sports, gaming, and digital platforms.
Matthew Gutknecht – VP of Sports Entertainment, APM Music
Matthew Gutknecht has been involved in all aspects of the music business from production to concert management and joined the APM family in 2007. He's been quarterbacking APM’s Sports Entertainment division since 2009, where his team provides a winning sonic experience that considers a holistic perspective of the entire sports landscape and where it's headed.
Adam Weitz – VP of Film & TV, APM Music
Adam Weitz is Vice President of Film & TV at APM Music, where he leads a team focused on pitching and licensing music for major films, series, and campaigns. Recent highlights include Anora, Oppenheimer, Barbie, The Bear, Shōgun, The White Lotus, and Severance. A lifelong crate-digger, he also oversees APM’s sampling initiative, turning vintage library recordings into chart-topping hits for artists like Kendrick Lamar, Drake, SZA, Future, The Black Keys, Denzel Curry, and Jay-Z.
After film school, Adam earned his JD from Syracuse University with a focus on sampling law — a path that led to collaborations with his heroes MF DOOM and Prince Paul. As a composer/producer, he has scored commercials, indie films, and animated series, bringing a rare blend of creative instinct and legal insight to every aspect of his work.
Edwina Travis-Chin – VP of Music Strategy & Content, APM Music
After over 30 years with APM, Edwina has witnessed many developments in the music industry ranging from how music is delivered and the expansion of new media to the rise of technology as an increasingly important part of the music business.
As VP of Music Strategy and Content, her degree in music and previous work as a music clearance specialist bring both a creative and business perspective to her work. While at APM she has been involved with licensing, marketing, music taxonomy and music production. She is still happiest in her role as a music director on the hunt for the perfect track of music. She is currently responsible for seeing that APM maintains the quality, depth and breadth of music offerings needed to meet the demands of its widely diverse client base.
About the Host
David Hollander
David Hollander was born in LA's San Fernando Valley and began his film career as a child actor in 1976, amassing a long list of credits that include appearances in Airplane!, What’s Happening, and Amazing Stories. He holds a degree in film studies from the University of California Berkeley, and has worked as a music supervisor/music editor for Cartoon Network and on Sony Pictures' Black Dynamite. Hollander is an avid collector and cultural archeologist, and is the Author/Editor of Unusual Sounds: The Hidden History of Library Music (Anthology, 2018), and Notes From a Revolution: The Diggers, Com/Co and The Haight (Foggy Notion, 2012). In 1999, David began producing films, overseeing innovative and ambitious projects for celebrated visual artists that have been shown in museums, galleries, and film festivals around the world. David is the Co-Founder of the CineMarfa film festival, now in its 11th year. He currently resides in the medieval village of Martel, France.
