Hey everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Music Meetup (formerly known as Discovery Corner).

This week we listen to the new album by The Drums, Abysmal Thoughts, and chat with the creator himself Jonny Pierce!

I started listening to The Drums back around 2009/10. I remember hearing it on the radio and thinking, "I've gotta write this song down." Now the band has narrowed to a solo project for Jonny Pierce and he recently released the new album Abysmal Thoughts. It's so perfectly The Drums and addictive to listen to--he's one talented sweetheart.

He starts his European tour this September! Listen to this week's episode to hear Abysmal Thoughts in its entirety and an interview w/ Jonny Pierce about his divorce, music making, and loving life no matter what.

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Music Meetup (formerly known as Discovery Corner).

This week we chat with Juliette of Champagne Superchillin and listen to their debut album Destino.

Don't let the ultra cheesy band name fool you--these guys are on the top of my list for psych/garage rock. It's catchy, hardcore and artful. There's even a heavy splash of 1960s French pop influences.

The amazing group has just moved to NYC from Nashville, with their impressive musical backgrounds. Members have played in other ultimate indie music projects like Wild Yaks, Clear Plastic Masks and Las Rosas.
