Joey Karma talks vibe, making beats and his journey growing up as a Hip-hop artist into all genres. After years of making beats and rapping Joey brought a lot of stories and lessons about the music industry.

Director of We Will Rock You Canada shared his love of theatre, the importance of theatre communities and what makes a Canadian Queen-inspired show fun to see! The show is happening January 30 at Sudbury Arena, and this interview has a lot of insightful gems for hopeful theatre professionals.

We Will Rock You – The Musical: Knowing the Show We Will Rock You (WWRY) is an original story musical written by Ben Elton set to the songs of Queen.

Hip-Hop and a childhood of making music was my interview with Koncept. He shared stories of his early songs, rules around using samples and how his music has changed over the years. It was great to have him in the studio and you can catch a lot of great insight on music in this interview.

Modern country music, the life of a festival photographer, and secrets of the music industry was explored with Linda Heldman. As a contributor to Canadian Beats for 3+ years, her experiences and stories were shared to make a really casual and honest conversation about music!

The Dazed come into the studio to talk songwriting, creating live set lists and growing together as a band. The jazz roots come out as they talk about live performances, and the relaxed energy of the band really comes through in the interview!

Tim Kraft came into the studio to talk comedy and performing. He`s a local comedian that`s slowly becoming a household name...but the stories and reflections of a Northern Ontario Comedian made for a great episode.

Billy Bruhmuller joined me in the studio to talk production. He shared stories of his past artists and gave a behind-the-scenes look at music production. The interview is thoughtful and relaxed... just like his personality in the studio.

Lionhouse came into the studio to talk about creating a perfect live setlist, the experience of being in a new band and finding the groove as individual band members.

Jason Daoust share some history on metal music, what it really means to play "classical music", and stories from teaching hundreds of music lessons! He`s welll-revered in the Sudbury guitar community, and it was an honour to have him as a guest to talk about such a beautiful style of music.

About Jason Daoust:

Jason has a diploma in music performance from Cambrian College and completed his Bachelor of Music from University of Ottawa. He has played in various bands and ensembles around Sudbury in a variety of different styles such as Classical, Rock, Metal, Disco, Theater, Pop and so on. Jason has been teaching since 2008 and has an abundance of experience working with students as young as 5 years old. From performing in French metal bands to a classical concerto with @vinuvine, making the audience feel the music is his true passion.

Celine Tellier came to talk about her career so far in music, her favourite venues to play, and the surprises that come when you leave yourself open to opportunities. She was getting ready to perform at the International Plow Match in Verner, with a potential audience of 100 000+ people... the conversation still managed to stay humble still!

About The Artist:

Celine's debut EP "Last One Standing", released in June of 2014, is a culmination of 3 years of writing, feeling, highs and lows, disappointments and achievements! In 2012, she entered a songwriting competition hosted by KICX 91.7 in Sudbury, ON on a dare, and was one of the top 5 finalists. Since then, she has taken every opportunity to host numerous house concerts, and has opened for and shared the stage with many very well established Canadian country artists such as Marshall Dane, Doc Walker, Tonya Kennedy, Ty Baynton, and Tim Hicks. She's also played summer festivals such as Parry Sound Ribfest and the Blueberry Festival in Sudbury, as well as opened the weekend for Country In The Woods. As a mix of country and rock, her voice carries farther than the ears can expect as she graces a stage near you.
