Sorry for the long delay again but it's been a crazy couple weeks. We all went to my aunt's funeral last week and definitely had to take some time off for that. Rest assured, new episodes are locked and loaded and on the way imminently. And yeah, Coin usually just titled the episodes by order of release unless they were themed, hence Episode 3. I thought it needed a neater title more in line with the modern naming convention, so there you go. Have a bowl of cereal and pour it all in the blender, nevermind the subsequent explosion. The Music Smoothie is bringing it on home with a Remixed and Remastered version of an episode from the last iteration of this podcast. Been planning on re-releasing some of these older episodes for quite some time. This episode was originally released in August 2012. I admit one of the reasons I started here and not with Coin and Wood's earliest episodes is because I'm not on those. Don't worry, I'll still drop those but I thought this would be a more accessible entrypoint. Yes, I changed a few things including taking out the intro music that is no longer kosher under fair use and swapping in the modern Music Smoothie theme song. No, that didn't exist back then lol. I recorded that intro on October 13th, 2022, right before the latest relaunch of the Music Smoothie, which happened on October 22, 2022. Little history of the podcast, why not. Squeeze the lemon, sure. But don't forget to clean up the juice. Featuring a cast of Coin (The previous host), Zeus (Yep, that's me, Laz), Rawb (The guy in our logo, several people asked me about that) and Alec. Yeah, that's me "singing" the "baby baby do you like it" bit from Misty Mountain Hop which we do talk about later in the episode. I could actually sing it now lol. This was our first ever themed episode, all Led Zeppelin all the time. GS was also on the podcast at the time, he joined at the same time as me, but he unfortunately couldn't make it to this episode.
