Throughout the sessions covered in the first semester, we learned about the Prophet's physical qualities and lifestyle, peace and mercy be upon him. In this session of Embodied Light, we cover the noble Prophet Muhammad's etiquette with food and contentment with little of the world. This session also focuses on the wondrous wisdom found in the Prophet's diet and lifestyle.

Revelation was given to us to transform people's hearts so that they could reach their full potential as human beings in harmony with their purpose in life. In this second part of the "Keys to Taqwa" series, we discuss the ways to achieve God-consciouness of the heart.

Taqwa of the heart is the most central and effective way to gain God-consciousness in every aspect of our lives, as indicated by the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said, "Truly, in the body there is a piece of flesh: if it is rectified, the entire body is rectified; and if it is corrupted, the entire body is corrupted. It is the heart."

The question often arises, "Where does change begin? How do I change for the better?" This series, "Keys to Taqwā," we will explore the various manifestations and ways towards attaining taqwā and mindfulness of God.

Imam Al-Jurjani defines "taqwā" linguistically as "warding off, taking precaution" and technically meaning to "protect oneself from God's punishment through obedience to Him."

This first installment of the series, "The Fruits of Taqwā," discusses the benefits of having taqwā and how through it our lives and souls become enriched.
