D.B. Cooper has become one of the most famous mysteries of the 20th Century, because the crime was so daring and unusual, and has never been definitively solved.  D.B. hijacked a flight from Portland to Seattle, and then parachuted out over the Washtington state wilderness with a parachute and a massive backpack filled with money into the cold November night, thousands of feet in the air.  He was never seen again, and only a portion of the ransom was ever found, on a river back in Tina Bar, Washington.  It is a case that has been talked about for almost 50 years since, and much imitated in both fiction and reality.
