"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
The Eternal One is not bound by the limits of time or the confines of space. God is the uncreated source, the origin of all things, and yet more than anything we can comprehend. Just as we might look at the vastness of the universe and realize our smallness, God’s nature extends beyond the visible and the invisible realms, holding all things in unity.
“For in him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)
The Eternal God is not a distant deity, separate from creation, watching as a bystander. No, God is present in all that exists, the force that sustains life, the essence that breathes purpose into existence. Imagine that everything you see and touch, every person you meet, every place you go, is touched by a spark of God’s essence. God’s presence is woven into the fabric of creation, yet remains unconfined by it.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:13)
God is both the beginning and the end, but God is also every moment in between. In a world obsessed with starting and finishing, with labels and definitions, God stands beyond and within all dualities. God is beyond our concepts of male and female, beyond time and change, beyond the transient and the permanent. God simply is.
“God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
Above all, understand that the Eternal God is Love, not in the simple sense of affection but as the very force that holds all of existence together. God’s nature is not defined by wrath or vengeance, but by a relentless love that seeks the healing and wholeness of all things. God’s love is the essence that calls us home, back to a true understanding of who we are.
In each moment of compassion, kindness, and forgiveness, in every instance of humility and grace, we catch a glimpse of God’s true nature. When we forgive, when we create, when we seek truth, we resonate with the Eternal God. And, in that resonance, we draw closer to knowing God in spirit and truth.
“The kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
The true nature of the Eternal One cannot be found only by looking outward but by looking within. God’s image is etched in each of us, waiting to be revealed. The journey is not to climb to some distant heaven but to descend into the depths of your own spirit, to uncover the spark of the Divine that has always been there, waiting.
So live, seek, love, and forgive, for in doing so, you walk with the Eternal One.
