En: Zuzana sat by the window and watched the colorful leaves falling to the ground.
Sk: Bol jesenný deň a suburbánna štvrť voňala po vlhkých listoch a čerstvom vetre.
En: It was an autumn day, and the suburban neighborhood smelled of damp leaves and fresh wind.
Sk: Zuzana však mala starosti.
En: However, Zuzana was worried.
Sk: Jej kocúr Felix bol preč už dva dni.
En: Her tomcat Felix had been missing for two days.
Sk: Myslela naňho stále.
En: She thought about him all the time.
Sk: Ráno začala akosi zvláštne.
En: The morning started off rather strangely.
Sk: Pred domom našla stopy v blate.
En: In front of the house, she found tracks in the mud.
Sk: Neboli to obyčajné stopy psa ani mačky, ale niečo záhadného.
En: They weren't ordinary dog or cat prints, but something mysterious.

En: "Marek, I need your help."
Sk: “ Nakoniec Marek súhlasil.
En: Finally, Marek agreed.
Sk: Museli to zistiť.
En: They had to find out.
Sk: Počas chôdze cez ulicu, okolo domov s farebnými lístím na strechách, stopy viedli stále ďalej.
En: As they walked through the street, past houses with colorful leaves on the roofs, the tracks continued further.
Sk: Vyzeralo to, akoby kráčali niekam k okraju predmestia.
En: It seemed like they were leading somewhere to the edge of the suburb.
Sk: Prišli až k starému opustenému skladu.
En: They reached an old abandoned warehouse.
Sk: Dvere sa zľahka kývali vo vetre.
En: The door gently swayed in the wind.
Sk: „Poďme dnu,“ šepol Marek, trochu nesvoj.
En: "Let's go inside," Marek whispered, a bit uneasy.
Sk: Zuzana bola rozhodnutá.
En: Zuzana was determined.
Sk: Vošli do tmavého skladu.
En: They entered the dark warehouse.
Sk: A tam, zrazu začuli mäkké mňaukanie.
En: And then, suddenly, they heard a soft meowing.
Sk: Felix bol tam, uvieznený v úzkej medzere medzi krabicami.
En: Felix was there, trapped in a narrow gap between boxes.
Sk: Okamžite ho vytiahli a Zuzana ho pevne objala.
En: They immediately pulled him out, and Zuzana hugged him tightly.

En: "But what about the tracks?"
Sk: “ pýtala sa Zuzana nahlas, keď šla s Felixom späť domov, Marek vedľa nej s úsmevom.

Sk: Na druhý deň sa dozvedeli, že malý chlapec zo susedstva sa hral s veľkými gumovými topánkami, zanechávajúc tie zvláštne stopy.
En: The next day, they found out that a little boy from the neighborhood had been playing with big rubber boots, leaving those strange tracks.
