Hiking

Most of the outdoor activities even involve hiking.  You need to make sure you have all the proper supplies before making it too far away from where you started. Hiking alone or with a group, foliage and trees often block your sight paths, and you might not see who else is around you until you're right next to each other.

Panama

[3:21]

Panama is a country located in Central America, known as the bridge connecting North and South America. The country sees hikers visiting at nearly all times of the year for day trips, overnight camping and even day-long adventures.

Kris And Lisanne disappearance.

[9:57]

Kris and Lisanne were hiking alone on April 1 when they went missing. They had planned to go walking the pianist trail they had researched before. No one has ever claimed to see either of the women again. Their family is still trying to find out what happened to them. Police have not released any new information about their disappearance.

Sanne and her friend were supposed to go on a day trip but didn't show up. Her family and friends started frantically searching for them after they didn't come home. Sanne's mother says she was worried because she had stopped sending text messages and updates.

Kris And Lisanne Belongings

[15:03]

A local woman found a backpack belonging to one of the girls, Lisanne, near a riverbank ten weeks after her disappearance. Police were able to identify this backpack as belonging to Lisanne. This was the bag she had taken her belongings, and, on their hike, the local woman said she'd found the pack by a riverbank.

[17:07]

Kris and Lisanne's cell phones have been turned on numerous times since they went missing on April 2. Police have no leads about where the girls were for the days following their disappearance. Their parents are asking for the public's help in finding out what happened to them.

The Camera

[19:26]

They found a digital camera with more than 500 photos from the trip of Kris and Lisanne. The date and time of all images are automatically logged on the camera, so investigators can see where the girls were at one point during their trip.

The Remains

[23:25]

Two months after discovering the backpack and investigating evidence found inside bones and clothing, two bones were identified as Kris's remains, and 33 total were found scattered around the area.  So no one knows what happened to either hiker or when.
