The Basal Ganglia is actually a set of brain structures that are across the Telencephalon, Diencephalon, and Mesencephalon, Caudate Nucleus, Putamen, Nucleus Accumbens (Ventral Striatum), and the Globus Pallidus. Together, these structures are known as the Corpus Striatum. In this fast-facts episode, Edward reviews the Basal Ganglia's form and function, as well as the key features that make us who we are.
