And today, Nocturne is staging a complete brain rebellion. I realized that the second I set a deadline or announce an upcoming episode, my creative joy instantly turns into "homework" pressure. This is the story of a girl.... not just any girl. A girl whose life didn't exactly go according to plan.

There was burnout. There were medications. There were diagnoses, questions, wrong turns, revelations… and a lot of trying to figure out what the hell happened. And somewhere in the middle of all that... while trying to figure out who she was underneath it... something strange began to take shape.

A place to hide. A place to create. A place to figure shit out.

And eventually, a Fort.

This is the somewhat accidental origin story of the Mystic Moon Fort.

Betty, we hardly knew ye.

Here it is.. the end of an era. Betty's fate sealed with a kiss from a telephone pole.

Tragic, yet not unexpected. And that's only the begining of the end... There's also the immediate aftermath, the passengers, the police, the job situation and some divine timing.

The Universe has a sense of humor, and apparently my life is held together by the same duct tape that attempted to hold the hole shut in Betty's soft top.

Okay so if you thought Part 1 of the Betty saga was a lot… buckle up. Like, for real.

Before we get to Betty's final and most dramatic chapter, there are still tales left to tell!

Some hooligans decided to go on an absolute rampage through the neighborhood one night, and our backyard got robbed. They took a few things, including any desire I had to ever own a soft top again. I talk about an Alice in Wonderland rave that could have been epic, followed by a 2am drive home on a curly mountain road.

And somehow, in the middle of all this, I land a job in the government? Specifically the government branch that is in charge of motor vehicles… and then I forgot to use my brain and uh… By the end of this episode, things… take a turn for the worst.

This is the first official episode of The Mystic Moon Fort!Broadcasting from the Garaj Mahal, we are paying tribute to the gone but not forgotten cars of the past.

POV: The year is 2010. You're 18, driving a '94 BMW convertible with the top down, blasting T.I. and way too confident in your driving skills.

Basically... it's a great example of what NOT to do when you get your Drivers license. Lots of bad descisions, lots of self roasting and lots of luck.

This episode has it all, we've got drifting, A broken axle, a Marty Mcfly impersonator,and a far too many close encounters with cops. Featuring a THC tolerance that I still believe could have given Snoop a run for his money.
