Funny to think about what actually "belongs" to us.
Funny to believe that anything "out there" will actually make us happy.
Funny to hold onto negative feelings about someone who took something from us
when in reality that thing was never ours in the first place.
The Universe simply repurposed it, moved it on to fulfill the plan in a way our small perspective
doesn't like.
It is so much more valuable to have a peaceful mind
and a loving heart
then to "get" that thing we think we lost back.
I lost $100 and a bike to two people I thought I could trust
Two people I care deeply about.
But holding that grudge... man costs way more
and is a catastrophic negative return on investment.
So like the Buddha said it's time to
"Let that shit go".
I won't lend money or bikes to either of those two again
but I'll stop hardening my heart
stop letting the past harsh my mellow
and I'm even letting myself engage in kind acts and conversation.
There's a lot more to it
But in the end, it always
ALWAYS
Seems like love wins.
