We caught up with Snapshot Spurs, a photography Instagram page which aims to shine a light on Spurs fan culture. We spoke about Joe's journey towards making the page, photographing last year's Champions League campaign, and watching Spurs home and away with his Mum.
A year on from the Ajax Semi-final, Cosmo, Eddy, Jed and Beadle gather round to discuss one of UCL's greatest comebacks. Ajax 2- 3 Tottenham Hotspur.
After a coronavirus imposed hiatus, the pod reconvenes to relive our Champions League Quarter-Final victory over Manchester City. Breaking the game down from how we felt going into it, to the decision from Cuneyt Cakir to institute a horrendous kit clash to the game itself. We look back on one of the most stressful and exhilarating games of our lives goal by goal. We also give our takes on: how the Premier League Season should finish, Tottenham Hotspur's decision to Furlough staff, and the inability of Jose Mourinho, Tanguy N'Dombele, Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon to self-isolate. Stay safe everyone 💙
Cosmo and Eddy sit down to discuss Tottenham's recent form after defeats to Norwich, Wolves and Chelsea. Dier's WWE style charge into the crowd is discussed as well as the prospect of Gedson and Parrott going forward. Could Mourinho have done anymore? And how will he tackle the upcoming dilemma of prioritising Burnley or Leipzig?
In this week's episode, we take an in-depth look at the Leipzig game. Was Mourinho correct to set up so defensively? Did he really have any choice with Son and Kane both being out? Has the pod finally lost patience with Aurier? How do we play without a striker going forward? Dele's 'petulant' reaction to being subbed is discussed. We preview Chelsea, analyse a bald Mourinho and briefly touch on the Villa pandemonium.
Instant reaction to the Southampton game courtesy of Cosmo, Eddy and Rob Beadle. We discuss the game, and in particular, Jan Vertonghen’s game, which according to Beadle was like ‘watching your grandmother fall down the stairs’. We discuss the City game, was it strategy or luck? Praise Harry Winks and review our transfer window.
Give it a listen now!
For those of you who have listened to the last two podcast episodes, you might have noticed an elusive fourth guest… My next-door neighbour’s dog. After discussing the fact that he always seems to start barking as soon as we begin recording, lightning struck for a third time. On cue with the record button being hit, the little don went flying out into the garden to start barking throughout the entirety of the podcast.
Join us, and the dog, as we discuss the arrival of Steven Bergwijn, the everlasting search for a striker and the transfer window in general.
After that we review the Southampton game and preview what’s to come in City. We also spend about 10 minutes waxing lyrical about Jack Grealish for whatever reason. One of the many to get away during Levy’s haggling throughout the years.
The boys discuss the victory over Norwich as well as the goalless draw with Watford. Jed gives us his transfer window roundup and we look ahead to the Southampton game.
We discuss the Middlesborough replay, along with the promising form of Lo Celso, Lamela and Japhet Tanganga. Jed gives us a scout report of sorts on Gedson Fernandes based on his Glenn Tamplin like Football Manager experience. We talk about our growing links to Jorge Mendes and potential January signings. Liverpool discussed. And we answer, what song would you sing as your player initiation if you signed for Tottenham tomorrow?
Seasons greetings! The N17 podcast returns today after the Christmas break with our first two-man pod. Cosmo and Eddy try to postpone the inevitable Mourinho chat by discussing the January transfer rumours thus far. Piatek to Spurs? Where should we even be prioritising? Will we have anyone left to start in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt by the end of this decade? Anyway, after that, we analyse Mourinho’s plan for the future and answer your listener questions.
