I got this comment on my Facebook Page Nadia Khalil (Bradley) where a writer said, "Christ told me that self love is the product of the ego. Christ said to me to destroy the ego you must deny yourself. To “deny” yourself means to say “No” to yourself and “Yes” to God. Christ is not talking about asceticism — forgoing earthly possessions, not eating certain foods, ignoring the world, etc. To say it differently, the process of denial is “to humbly submit my will to God.” It is to go through life repeating the words that Jesus said the night before he died. When he was praying in the garden, he said to God his Father, “Not my will but yours be done."

We talk about being Spiritual as opposed to be Relgious or Spiritual and Religious, or that we believe in God this way or that. We have changed the name of God to a Higher Being, or The Source or "I know there is something out there", however what are we called today, as people who are simply now awake? Trusting our instncts is something we are told to do, yet when we have an instinct we cast it aside as if the voice of reason is an option. We are always looking for someone to say we are OK.
