'Tis the season to be jolly. It’s also the season when we’re with our family more than usual. As the CFO {Chief Family Officer}, we often feel overwhelmed and stressed out during this time. While many good things are added to our days, with that comes a lot more time together. In addition to being the organizer of your family, you also influence the energy of your family.
Our culture, and the alcohol industry tells us that we “need” to drink alcohol in order to "deal" with our children, family and responsibilities. We want to encourage you to re-think the drink in your cup by putting it through the lens of “DRINKING ON THE JOB”. It is not a common practice nor tolerated in most places to drink on the job any longer. The Mad Men days are long gone right?
So, why has it become acceptable and even encouraged for parents, especially moms? We have a huge responsibility to create safe, warm, nurturing environments for our children just like we do when we’re at work. Home is also a place of intention.
Here are some ways to thrive, not just survive, this holiday season naked.
