My parents still have regret toward me for not finishing school. It was expectations that they leveled toward me that I tried to fullfil but it never connected with a why inside me.

Why do we choose to allow parents, family, or friends decide who we should be.

We need to go out and figure out who we are.

We need to experience life and everything inside of it.

You are the only one that should decide your life.

I have been finding more and more evidence from my family and my past about how easy it is to not communicate clearly.

This weekend while shopping for groceries I encountered a situation where I saw a couple get into an argument that could have been avoided if they would have taken the time to communicate what they wanted to each other.

I find that this situation happens more and more around me especially with my family. It appears that it is just laziness that they do not want to be more direct with their intentions.

And because of that it creates pain in the their relationships. I to have been guilty of this as well.

There is a thin line in every decision in life. Specially I am going to focus on the thin line between between real with yourself. Namely how do you have good positive critical self talk. Taking stock in what you need to work on, or what has worked and can continue to work. 

And how this self talk can evolve into negative bashing within ourselves or embellishing our wins into something that they are not.
