Spring is upon us and as we transition from the cold barren months of winter into the season of new beginnings, Nancy sits down with Foster Care Unplugged founder Melody Centeno for an authentic conversation on triumph and perseverance. Though life may try and break us it is up to us to decide whether or not we stay broken.
In this episode, Melody shares her own story of triumph and how at the age of 7 she knew she wanted to work in the foster care system. A survivor of sexual abuse, Melody discusses how that incident impacted her, why she's dedicated her life's work to foster care advocacy, and the importance of guarding your heart. She also discusses motherhood, how she's breaking the cycle of dysfunction, and how she's been able to seamlessly tie in her creative passion into the work she does.
