The Nat Coombs Show

Nat & Ben are getting in the mood for the 2025 Aer Lingus College Football Classic, where Kansas State and Iowa State head to Dublin to square off. Check out https://bit.ly/AerLingusCollegeFootballClassic for ticket information! The team at Kansas State have given the NC Show unprecedented access to their program, and Ben has been on a road trip to gather exclusive interviews with the people that make a successful college program tick. First up he catches up with Kansas State head coach Chris Kleiman to discover how his job is different to that of his NFL counterparts and the way he uses the trip to Dublin to recruit high school players; then we hear from Ray Thomas, Kansas State associate director of strength and conditioning, to find out how players make the massive physical leap from high school football to the elite college ranks; and finally we talk to Gene Taylor, Kansas State athletic director to talk about what exactly an AD does and what goes in in College Football Playoff selection meetings.

The boys are back to zip through all the key talking points from the Week 16 as the playoff race intensifies. In the NFC, are the Vikes now the biggest threat to the Lions for the number one seed? The battle for the NFC West and NFC South hots up as the Falcons start the Penix era, whilst the Rams solidify their tag as the team everyone wants to avoid in the playoffs. Speaking of Atlanta, there's lots of chat on the QB situation rolling forwards - namely which players will be on the market in the off-season (clue: not many!) meaning Kirk Cousins could land yet another payday. Will the Niners pay Brock? Will the Vikes stick with Darnold? What about the Jets & Rodgers? The Bengals keep Nat's 175-1 Cincy to win the SB dream alive, and they're in a shootout with Denver for the wildcard. All this & much more from the Hickorys Mailbag! Merry Christmas, gang!

With Nat being rested for the playoffs, All-Pro Ben Isaacs takes the snaps to break down week 15 with Iron Mike Carlson. Will Belichick be a success at North Carolina? Has Josh Allen wrapped up MVP? Are the Lions good enough to beat elite teams? Could the Eagles be the best in the NFL? What can the Colts do to return to relevance? Should the Raiders draft Travis Hunter? Nat's joined by old friend of the show Jason Bell to get into the NFC contenders, looking at their strengths, weaknesses and realistic Super Bowl chances. Can Detroit overcome their defensive injuries? Is the disharmony in Philly gonna cost them? Are Green Bay just a little too much too soon? And why the Vikings are legit Super Bowl contenders. Plus J-Bell names the team he thinks could mount an inside rail deep playoff run not currently in the Top 7 and more!
