The Nat Coombs Show

The great Gregg Rosenthal returns to the show, and in good time, given the bumper Hickory's mailbag to wade through! The boys cover a lot of the big off season stories flying around from various camps - the Raiders may be trending the wrong way, but will Davante Adams stay the course? Who's winning the QB battles in New England, Denver & Minnesota? Do the Bears make the playoffs? Will either Nat or Gregg get a Burrow buzz cut? All this and plenty more + some Andy Murray chat given Gregg's love of tennis and our guest nominates his song for the NC Show Spotify playlist!

Nat's joined by George Eghator for a rip roaring hour of football chat! They start by getting into Hard Knocks, and the news that the in-season show will be covering the whole of the AFC North, before detouring into a wider chat on sports content. The mailbag gets plenty of action with boys covering a lot of ground including whether the Colts are underrated, and if CJ Stroud is on dangerous ground smack-talking them, are they glass half full or empty on the Titans, which vet is gonna by missed the most, and which coach is in for a rough old ride this season. They wrap with a brand new feature - SpaceBall - where both of the guys pick their team of past and present players from any sport to take on a team of aliens to save the planet! Just the usual Friday in June, then!

With the news that Trevor Lawrence's new deal makes him the joint highest paid QB in the game, Nat & Mike deep dive into the QB market. The second tier crew are getting paid, but is this the right strategy for GM's? How do teams deal with multiple stars who want to get paid, and does upside, or situation, validate some of the inflated paydays we're seeing? Nat's got 3 burning questions for Mike on specific QB situations: Are we looking at boom or bust for Aaron Rodgers at the Jets? Who will have the better Steelers career - Wilson or Fields? and just what is Deshawn Watson's playing level these days? The boys wrap with another Wrestling Corner - this time, fave tag teams! And Mike remembers an NBA great, as the boys raise a glass to Jerry West...

College Football is landing once again in Ireland this summer as Georgia Tech head on over to play FSU at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and the man leading them over, Coach Brent Key, joins Nat & Ben to look ahead to the experience. Yes, really! And if you want to join Nat, Ben, Iron Mike and Prop O out in Dublin for the big game, then some tickets are still available, but they're selling fast. Nat & Ben are back, and working hard to get The NC Show number one in the news agenda, ahead of some election that's happening, & Taylor Swift heading to town. They zip through some of the biggest news in the NFL over the last 7 days including Justin Jefferson's re-up, Kevin Stefanski's extension & Cam Sutton's chance at redemption. Nat then takes us into a deep dive on the Rookie QB First Rounders, looking at their landing spots, with the fellas predicting how many will start Week One. They recall the 2012 Draft Class - yes folks, Brandon Weeden gets his props - look at the Rookie of the Year race, and Nat has a surprise shout for Comeback Player of the Year! Plus some fab questions from the mailbag of course! And if that wasn't enough FSU legend Odell Haggins drops by for a one on one chat with Ben ahead of the Seminoles trip to Dublin in August!

Nat's joined by "The Guru" James Sandrini who brings his deep seated football wisdom to the show, with a fantasy spin, natch! Setting up some of the big narratives going into the 2024 season, plugging in all the moves in free agency and the Draft, the boys power through lots of different situations, and which players have benefited the most, and least, from the changes. Lots of rookie chat, as they wight up he first round QB's and who has the most upside as well as looking at players who stand to gain the most upside from quarterback changes in the off-season. Naturally, Nat wants The Guru's tips on ageing OG vets who may have one last hurrah to underpin his erstwhile Draft gameplan, and they look at overall draft strategy, sleeper picks & answer questions from the Mailbag!
