Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda agreed to start implementing security measures under a U.S.-mediated deal next month, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters, in what would be a key step toward carrying out the peace agreement amid concerns over lack of progress.

- In our historical archives, it was on this day 25 September 1977 when Bantu Steve Biko ‘s funeral was held in King William's Town, attended by some 15,000 people. Biko was buried in the cemetery at Ginsberg.
Biko's coffin had been decorated with the motifs of a clenched black fist, the African continent, and the statement "One Azania, One Nation".
