1. USA – AFRIKAN EMBASSIES
The Trump administration is considering a significant reduction in the United States' diplomatic presence worldwide, with a proposal to close nearly 30 embassies and consulates, over half of which are located in Africa.
2. Ghana – Ecowas- Sahel States
President John Dramani Mahama has invited Sahel military leaders to ECOWAS@50 launch in Accra
Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has hinted that President John Dramani Mahama has extended an invitation to the military leaders of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger to attend the official launch of the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Accra.
3. DR Congo – Noord Kivu- Goma
DR Congo suspends Kabila's political party over rebel 'ties'
Congolese authorities over the weekend has suspended the party of former President Joseph Kabila.
An Interior ministry statement justifying the ban on the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD) accused Kabila of 'overt' activism.
4. Rwanda- DR Congo- SADC Mission in the DRC
Rwanda agrees to give safe passage to SADC forces leaving the DRC
Rwanda has agreed to give safe passage to Southern African Development Community (SADC) forces. This was confirmed by the Rwandan Minister
